Read this by Tuesday and be prepared to discuss the algorithm and its implications. No essay due. Also by Tuesday, download processing from processing.org, launch it and open the above program file.
This is a processing implementation of Dawkins' "Watchmaker" algorithm. Play with the program, after while you should be able to 'select' certain properties to 'evolve'. We will have a competition to see how original a design you can make, take a screen shot and bring it to class.
How might you use this tool musically? (I will send one way to do this over the weekend for you to play with).
