an article
by Phyllis Chinn on canons and mensuration canons, with some
material about the four

an interesting presentation
by Franck Jedrzejewski at IRCAM about canons in general, with
some nice discussion about the four voice canons (download his
pdf files). my favorite part, though i have no idea what it
means, is the poem he includes as an example of "compression
temporelle des voix" (if anybody can figure this out, let me
know...)

The text is taken from the Fungimap pamphlet written by Sarah
